Greetings from ACCU!
If you may recall from our September CEOs Workshop, a recommendation to institutionalize Business Development Services at the national federation was strongly supported by all.
I am happy to announce that ACCU is organizing the Trainers Training on Business Development Services for Credit Unions: Start, Grow and Sustain Business of Members on March 31 to April 6, 2019 (including arrival and departure) in Bangkok, Thailand. The venue will be advised later.
We understand that your federation is committed to integrate the business development service to advise unemployed women and youth members on starting and growing their businesses by planning, operational improvement, and product or market development.
The training is intended for the person in charge of Business Development Services and the credit union to be piloted after the training.
Participants should have a thorough understanding of credit union operations and women and youth issues in their country. The program is delivered in English; thus, participants must also have good language and communication skills.
Further, I am pleased to inform that we were able to seek grant funding from the National Credit Union Federation of Korea (NACUFOK) to provide scholarship to qualified nominees. The scholarship entitles the participant for 50% airfare and registration subsidy.
Each member organization is entitled to send two participants. Subject to the availability of seats, a full paying can be accepted on self-financing basis. Thus, the sending organization shall cover the travel expenses and registration of USD 650 for twin sharing and USD 800 for single room accommodation.
May I request you to send your nominations before February 28, 2019. The number of slots is 35, so please send in your nominations as early as possible. May we suggest that those needing visa to Thailand send in their application earlier.
Attached are the Concept note and Schedule of the program and the registration form.
