2020 HRD Workshop on Business Continuity Plan

Greetings from ACCU!

 

We hope you are all aware of the cancellation of the Asian credit union forum 2020 due to the pandemic we are currently experiencing.  However, we decided to pursue a specialized workshop virtually as follows:

 

August 18-20: HRD Workshop on Business Continuity Plan 

September 1-3: Women: Ways Women Leadership Make a Difference in CUs 

September 8-10: Youth: Young Entrepreneurial Soft Skills for the Future 

 

Attached is concept and registration form for the HRD Workshop on Business Continuity Plan. The workshop introduces the Business Continuity Plan Template. We consider this workshop as very urgent considering that the pandemic seemed to be far from over. The template will accelerate the process of preparing the credit union’s BCP.

 

The BCP ensures the continuity of services despite the lockdown, quarantine, social distancingand travel ban imposed by the government. ACCU recognizes that impacts to credit unions are significant, but those arrepercussions of that of the members. The lost or reduced income of members will affect their ability to pay and the ability to absorb new loans.

 

ACCU deemed it necessary to support member organizations by developing a BCP template addressing the areas affected by the pandemic. The Business Continuity Plan Template assigned as CU Business Solution no. 29 is a do-it yourself BCP where credit unions can easily contextualize based on their local situation

The BCP provides guidance and suggested risks and mitigation plans on the impacts to members, employees, 
and credit unions. Further, the template also provides sample policies, interview tooland reports.

 

ACCU organizes a workshop to deploy the BCTemplate to member federations and to select credit unions. At the end of the workshop, the participants gain skills in using the BCP template and able to carry out technical assistance in the deployment of the solution.

The workshop accommodates only 30 on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register on or before August 15, 2020, to ensure your seat for the workshop. The registration fee can be paid to the federation or via credit card to our website: www.aaccu.coop
